BENEATH THE TREES

The first collection

This collection was born from a lifelong love of trees. I have always found comfort in their presence, in their wisdom, strength, and stillness. There is something grounding about standing beneath a canopy of leaves, watching the light move through the branches, and allowing time to slow. When you pause to really look at a tree, to take in its form, its movement, and its story, a connection begins to form, quiet, steady, and deeply personal.

Beneath the Trees is a celebration of that connection. Each of the ten suites is inspired by a native UK tree, making the collection not only a love letter to nature, but also to the rich heritage of our landscape here in Britain. From the steadfast English Oak to the ethereal White Willow, every design has been carefully sketched and developed with the character of its tree at heart, drawing on real encounters, seasonal studies, and personal memory.

Each suite includes a Save the Date, a full invitation suite, and a wide range of coordinating on-the-day paper goods, including place cards, vow booklets, menus, and thank you notes. Together, they create a cohesive experience from start to finish. Whether you are planning an intimate woodland ceremony, a romantic autumn barn wedding, or a fine art gathering beneath spring blossom, there is a suite rooted in the season and setting you love.

I hope this collection encourages you to notice the trees around you, to slow down, look up, and let them speak to something deeper. There is beauty in the way they grow, endure, and quietly shape the world, and I hope your wedding day holds that same sense of wonder.

The Hazel

Earthy . Grounded . Meaningful

The Hazel suite draws from sketches made beneath a hazel tree in my in-laws’ garden, becoming a subtle tribute to a beloved grandmother, Hazel. While not directly connected to the tree itself, its presence within the family setting felt a fitting source of inspiration, symbolising memory, strength, and connection across generations.

With tones of oat, old gold, cinnamon, and deep maroon, the palette reflects an understated, earthy elegance, inspired by the richness of the autumn season. Letterpress printed on soft cotton paper, the design pairs refined script with delicate hand-drawn elements, including a subtle squirrel motif, a considered nod to the grey squirrel’s role in the hazel’s rare fruiting in the UK.

The Hazel is suited to couples drawn to earthy tones, seasonal richness, and designs that carry a sense of meaning and connection.

The Scots Pine

Natural . Wild . Enduring

The Scots Pine suite is inspired by the landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, where shifting skies, open moorland, and dense pine forests create a sense of scale and strength. The design draws from these surroundings, reflecting a connection to nature that feels both enduring and untamed.

Letterpress printed in a palette of cloud grey, soft fern, and khaki, the tones are drawn directly from the landscape, from lichen-covered stone to moss underfoot. A translucent vellum wrap adds a subtle layer, referencing the passing mist and ever-changing light of the Highlands.

Hand-drawn pinecones and needles, gathered from my daughter’s growing collection of found nature, introduce a personal element to the suite. A stag motif sits alongside these details, offering a considered reference to the heritage and wildlife of the region.

The Scots Pine is the only native pine tree in the British Isles and a key species of the ancient Caledonian forest. Once covering large areas of the Highlands, it has endured for centuries, shaping a design that feels grounded, resilient, and closely tied to place.

The Silver Birch

Light . Textural . Delicate

The Silver Birch suite celebrates the graceful strength of one of the UK’s most recognisable native trees. Known for its distinctive white bark that catches the light within woodland settings, the silver birch embodies both delicacy and resilience, with a form that feels light yet enduring in the face of changing conditions.

The colour palette of meadow green, oregano and true olive, reflects the tones of the woodland floor beneath its canopy. Printed in elegant letterpress on heavy weight cotton paper, the design brings together refined typography and natural texture, creating a suite that feels tactile and balanced.

A guided process

Each semi-custom suite follows a process designed to feel clear and approachable while maintaining a strong sense of quality and cohesion.

Once you have selected your design, details are gathered and your suite is carefully prepared for print. You will receive proofs to review, ensuring everything feels aligned before moving forward.

From there, your stationery is brought to life through carefully chosen materials and finishes, before being packaged and delivered to you, ready to become part of your day.
